What is the Green Key Label?

Present on five continents, the Clef Verte tourism Ecolabel is the first international sustainable tourism label for tourist accommodation and restaurants.

Clef Verte establishment does not imply giving up comfort or pleasure, quite the contrary! They offer a more natural and healthier living environment, raise awareness among vacationers and invite those who wish to do so to invest in more responsible travel and more ecological vacations.

The Green Key require respect for people and nature, in particular through the control of energy and water consumption, through environmental waste management, through leisure activities that do not harm nature and through the promotion of stakeholders. and the natural assets of the territory.

AT THE SAME PRICE

Clef Verte label does not imply higher prices! It is aimed at all categories and all types of restaurant and accommodation: campsite or nature lodge, ecological hotel, youth hostel or responsible guesthouse, tourist residence or sustainable holiday village.

Villa Andry is awarded the Green Key Label for the first time in 2024 among 1,564 establishments in France

 

We are proud of all the work accomplished since our arrival in 2017. We are committed to transforming and managing our establishment in harmony with our conception of environmental and societal responsibility. Today, all our actions are recognized by the Teragir organization and we will be happy to continue our actions to meet the challenges of tomorrow. We want to rethink the philosophy of tourism without altering its very essence.

 

This label recognizes our commitments to sustainable development, such as:

 

  • Raising awareness among our customers about the surrounding fauna and flora, offering outings using soft mobility;
  • The implementation of sustainable solutions in our garden with plants that require little water, insect hotels, a flower meadow in spring/summer for foragers in order to promote biodiversity;
  • Eco-responsible local, organic, artisanal purchases for the vast majority of our food products, eco-labeled cleaning products. Where possible, the furniture is restored by us or renewed by French/EU production;
  • Energy management: our consumption (electricity, gas and water) has fallen by 45% since 2019. The electric radiators have all been replaced by inertia radiators. The bulbs have all been replaced with LED bulbs. Our staff is aware of energy management;
  • Water management: its consumption is closely monitored. Aerators and water-reducing shower heads have been installed throughout the property. With the renovation of the bathrooms, we are gradually changing the toilets, the shower and the sink. A water recovery tank for watering the exteriors has been installed. Towels are replaced on request to limit laundry laundering quantities;
  • Waste management through systematic sorting by us. Customers also have sorting bins available on the 1st level of the establishment. Compost for internal use is present in the garden.
  • Our anti-waste policy: For years now, we have had an individual order of bread and pastries for breakfasts;
  • We support a local association by making our premises available free of charge (L'échiquier de l'Hippocampe) or by participating in collection activities (Les Bouchons du Coeur);
  • The upcoming installation of 5 electrical terminals will allow our customers to recharge their vehicles with complete peace of mind;
  • And many others.
