Do you want to explore the greenery of Normandy to discover its natural side? Then La Vélo Francette is made for you.
Its 600 km of routes reserved for you have the particularity of taking you across France from Ouistreham to La Rochelle, passing through the heart of Normandy. On this circuit, you will cross the meadows and pastures of our beautiful region. There is no doubt that you will quickly fall under the spell of our green landscapes!
By taking this route, you will discover Normandy in a different way. The feeling of freedom on a bike will take on its full meaning here for the pleasure of the eyes and of pedalling.

The Vélomaritime®
Pays d'Auge section, between the seaside and green meadows
Over nearly 1,500 km, this route which goes from La Manche to the North Sea takes you along the coast to discover unforgettable coastal landscapes.
Your ride will mainly take place along the sea following the coast on a 100% continuous route. Small roads and greenways accompanied by some unevenness await you on your journey. Along the way, you can see unmissable tourist sites such as Mont-Saint-Michel, the Cliffs of Etretat or even Cap Fréhel.
On this section, travel along the Côte Fleurie as well as its lands, full of activities such as castles, parks, museums... Take this route and get lost from the beaten paths as well as the coast, thus discovering the Normandy countryside and its many small villages with a picturesque appearance.
Choose this route to travel with the sea air in your hair. The Vélomaritime is part of the EuroVélo 4 route, the large network of European cycle routes.

Section from Courseulles-sur-Mer to Houlgate, explore the seaside!
Around this section of the Vélomaritime, find numerous small roads and greenways accompanied by some elevation changes, mainly overlooking the sea as well as our magnificent landing beaches. Cross the main towns of the coast, such as Courseulles-sur-Mer, Ouistreham and Cabourg.
Let yourself be immersed in the different stories that its beaches have to tell you and visit many monuments on your way!

A Caen-Ouistreham trip by bike?
The novelty of the Twisto network
Travel by bike from Caen to Ouistreham with complete peace of mind, thanks to the Vélolib system!
Count on 230 bikes distributed among 22 available stations, including 1 in Ouistreham, 200m from Villa Andry, for €1 per hour. You can pay directly at the terminal by credit card!
You will simply need to bring your Vélolib to one of the different stations at the end of each day.
You can also rent bikes with the Véloloc .
